L.A. County's Average Gas Price Reaches Highest Point Since Early June

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose Tuesday to its highest amount in months.

LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CA - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose Tuesday to its highest amount since June 9, increasing a half-cent to $3.037.

The average price has risen four consecutive days, increasing 2.3 cents, including three-tenths of a cent on Monday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 2.3 cents more than one week ago, 9.2 cents higher than one month ago and 32 cents greater than one year ago.

The Orange County average price was unchanged, remaining at $3.007 after rising three consecutive days to its highest amount since June 11. It is 2.1 cents more than one week ago, 9.1 cents higher than one month ago and 30.9 cents greater than one year ago.
