Several Injured in Series of Altadena Shootings

About 11 people were shot at over a five day period in Altadena just north of Pasadena.

ALTADENA, CA - The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department sought the public's help today in finding whoever carried out a series of recent shootings in unincorporated Altadena, just north of Pasadena.

The first of four incidents occurred at 11 p.m. on July 25 in the 600 block of East Pine Street. A man and woman in a vehicle were fired on, and the man suffered wounds to his left palm and right wrist, the department said. The man was taken to a local hospital, where he was reported to be stable.

The second shooting occurred at 1:30 a.m. on July 26, when a man was wounded on his left hand and left knee while in a car on Lake Avenue and Woodbury Road.

The third shooting occurred at 2:30 a.m., also on July 26, at a residence in the 200 block of West Calaveras Street. Investigators said seven people were fired at but no one was injured.

The most recent shooting occurred at 9 p.m. on July 30 in the 2200 block of North Lincoln Avenue, where a man was wounded in his left leg, according to the sheriff's department, which said the shootings may have been gang- related.
