School Board Appoints Interim Super; Search Continues
According to the Pasadena Star-News, board members will interview five candidates on Saturday.

With former superintendent Edwin Diaz's retirement becoming effective June 30, the Pasadena Unified School District board has named its chief financial officer to take the position on an interim basis, according to the Pasadena Star-News.
Interviews for the next superintendent are coming this weekend, and a replacement could be named soon, according to the paper.
In a separate story, the Star-News names the five finalist candidates to replace Diaz and notes that there is no black candidate among them. Three of the candidates are Latinos, who make up a majority of the students in the school district.
