Sheriff's Blotter: Commercial Burglary at Super King, Altadena Hardware and Other Crimes

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Altadena Station released the following report on Friday, May 9:

Sunday, April 27

• 8:30 p.m. – A vehicle and residential vandalism occurred in the 2300 block of Hollister Avenue. Suspect described as a male, White, 20 years old, 5 foot 7 to 5 foot 9, 160-180 pounds. 

Monday, April 28th

• 5 p.m. - A grand theft occurred in the 400 block of Archwood Place. Loss:  white/gold iPhone 5s.  ***Suspect Identified***

Tuesday, April 29

• 2:18 p.m. – A commercial burglary occurred at Super King, 2260 N. Lincoln Ave. Loss: bottle of Bombay Sapphire Gray (item recovered).  ***Suspect was arrested***
• 5:30 p.m. – A residential burglary occurred in the 200 block of West Laurel Dr. Suspect(s) possibly entered the residence via an unlocked door. Loss:  Silver HP laptop. 

Wednesday, April 30

• Between 11:45 a.m. and 2 p.m. – A residential burglary occurred in the 100 block of West Mariposa Street. Suspect(s) entered the residence by shattering the bedroom and kitchen window. Loss: Brown jewelry box, black/white men’s watch, silver opal women’s necklace.
• 5:40 p.m. – Eric Gomez, 26, transient, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. 
• Between 7 and 11:59 p.m. – A residential burglary occurred in the 200 block of West Mariposa Street. Suspect(s) entered the residence by shattering the front window. Loss: Older model iPad, white/chrome iPod, lime green Dr. Dre Beats Bluetooth speaker, gold necklace.
• Between 7:30 and 9 p.m. – A residential burglary occurred in the 1700 block of East Elizabeth Street. Suspect(s) entered via unknown means.  Loss: Black Lenovo laptop.
• Between 8:30 and 9:45 p.m. – A vehicle burglary occurred in the 300 block of Acacia Street. Suspect(s) entered the vehicle by tampering the driver’s side door lock. Loss: Yellow purse, brown wallet.

Thursday, May 1

• Between 12:41 and 12:45 p.m. – A petty theft occurred at Altadena Hardware, 849 East Mariposa Street. Suspect described as a male, White, 5 foot 6, 180 to 210 pounds, brown hair. Loss: Saw blades.

Friday, May 2

• 7:34 p.m. – Edward Townsend, 54, of Altadena was arrested for drinking in public.
