TV Show 'Justified' Filming in Altadena Monday
One block of Mariposa, just west of Lake, is shut down to through traffic for the filming.
If you are wondering why a "Lexington Police Department" vehicle is blocking off traffic at the intersection of Lake and Mariposa, here's your answer: The F/X TV show Justified is filming in Altadena on Monday.
The crime drama, which revolves around the life of a U.S. Marshall with a reputation for a quick trigger finger, is set in Kentucky, but many episodes have had scenes that were shot in Altadena, including one at in a past season.
Mariposa was closed to cars Monday morning between Lake and El Molino. The sidewalks are open to walkers, though film crews were asking people to pause during live shooting.
