Two Hikers Rescued After Being Stranded in Eaton Canyon

Two hikers who got stuck on the side of a mountain in the Eaton Canyon area near Altadena Saturday night were plucked from their predicament by a county fire helicopter crew tonight and placed on safe footing, a dispatcher said.
  
Firefighters were notified around 6:40 p.m. that the hikers were in trouble in the 2200 block of Pinecrest Drive, Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatcher Miguel Ornelas said.
  
A helicopter crew arrived at 7:08 p.m., made the rescue and cleared the scene at 7:43 p.m., Ornelas said, adding that the hikers were not injured.
