ALTADENA, CA - A sheriff's air unit conducted searches in Altadena today after receiving separate reports of a person with a gun and a person who had been stabbed, but no suspects or victims were found.  About 2 p.m., a call was received about a person armed with a gun being spotted in the area of West Palm Street and Olive Avenue, officials said.  About five minutes later, someone reported that person had been stabbed in the area of Woodbury Road and Lincoln Avenue.  No one armed with a gun and no evidence of a stabbing were found and no one turned up at area hospitals with any stabbing or cutting wounds, according to the sheriff's department.  A sheriff's helicopter unit searched the areas for about 30 minutes but turned up nothing, officials said.City News Service; Photo: Wikimedia Commons
