Vacant Lot at Altadena/Lincoln Will Not Host Aveson School

The school, which was once at the Aveson charter location at the top of Allen Avenue, has found a likely new home in West Pasadena.

The Aveson Global Leadership Academy which used to be located at the Aveson campus at the top of Allen Avenue, and has been meeting at a temporary location in Pasadena, has found a new home. 

According to an email update sent out by Alice Kechinian, the school's office manager, a property of an existing private school in West Pasadena has been identified as the location for next year, and officials have signed a 5-year-lease for the space.

The property has a 15,000 square foot space, kitchen facilities, outdoor facilities, and on-site parking.  Officials are not yet annoucing the actual location, as the school currently at the location is still working on its own relocation plans, according to Kechinian's email.

The school had been looking at the , and for a few months, a sign hung there proclaiming the site as the future home of the Aveson school.

However, after that property was foreclosed upon by the bank, the proceedings became complicated and Aveson officials began to look elsewhere.

The grade 6-12 school is currently located at the Boys and Girls Club on Fair Oaks Avenue in Pasadena.  It used to be located on the Aveson elementary school campus in Altadena but neighbors objected to having a high school at that location.
