• Running: Napa Valley Taco Bell 50K/30K coming up soon (napavalleyregister.com) — An American Canyon resident and Vintage High grad is among local runners gearing up for Napa's quirky Taco Bell 50K/30K on Aug. 29, which doubles as a fundraiser for nearby elementary schools. The free-to-enter ultramarathon forces participants to eat Taco Bell items at multiple stops, turning a training run into a stomach-churning endurance challenge for several Napa County runners.
   

• Could Waymo Be Coming To RivCo? A Key Step Just Happened (patch.com) — American Canyon is now officially within Waymo's newly approved driverless-ride territory, meaning robotaxis could eventually operate on local streets once the company decides to launch service here. State regulators cleared both the vehicles and passenger service across 18 counties, but Waymo will roll out operations gradually and has not set a start date for Napa County.
