• Barbara D. Bain (timeshudsonvalley.com) — Longtime educator and writer Barbara D. Bain, who once lived in Anderson before later settling in New York, has died at age 93. Her life spanned California, Missouri, Georgia, and finally Cornwall, where she was known for her kindness, environmental passion, and daily fitness routine. A private family memorial will be held later this fall in South Carolina.
