3. Suspect arrested following Hesperia residential robbery, police chase (modbee.com) — A police pursuit through Apple Valley ended with deputies arresting a Victorville man suspected of an armed robbery and SUV theft that began in a Hesperia neighborhood. Deputies picked up the stolen Tahoe near Sitting Bull and Tamiani roads and chased it through town before stopping it at Highway 18 and Jicarilla Road. The 42-year-old suspect remains jailed without bail on multiple felony allegations.
4. California School Police Hide Military-Grade Weapon Inventories (memesita.com) — Apple Valley's school police agency is among several in California that delayed or initially denied having military-grade equipment, despite state law requiring public disclosure and annual reports. The investigation details how school police statewide have stockpiled rifles, launchers, and other tactical gear while lagging on transparency, raising questions about oversight and community input.
