ARCADIA, CA — Arcadia residents can put out up to two additional bags of leaves each week at no extra charge from November through January as the city prepares for increased green waste during the fall and winter months, the city announced on Monday.
Residents may place up to two extra bags next to their green waste carts on their regularly scheduled trash collection day, according to the city.
No advance notification to Waste Management is required.
Arcadia has been recognized as a Tree City USA for more than 25 years, reflecting its longstanding commitment to maintaining and caring for its urban forest, the city said.
The seasonal program is intended to help residents manage additional leaves while keeping green waste collection convenient.
Residents who have more than two extra bags must schedule a separate bulky item pickup.
