ARCADIA, CA — The City of Arcadia is celebrating the 100th anniversary of Route 66 with a new commemorative decal displayed on the Route 66 Bridge, officials announced on Thursday.
The decal, designed by city staff, recognizes a century of history, travel and memories along the iconic highway, also known as the Mother Road, the city said.
Route 66 officially marks its 100th anniversary Nov. 11, 2026. The historic roadway, established in 1926, became one of the nation's most recognizable highways, connecting communities and serving generations of travelers.
The city encouraged residents and visitors to look for the new design when passing over the bridge as the city celebrates the highway's centennial.
