ARCADIA, CA — The City of Arcadia will honor local veterans this month with a free luncheon and a display of military banners recognizing residents who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces, the city said on Thursday.
Veterans were invited to attend the luncheon Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 11:30 a.m. at the Arcadia Community Center.
The event will feature special presentations, a complimentary meal, patriotic entertainment and other activities honoring those who have served the country, the city said..
The city is also recognizing local military personnel through its annual Military Banner Program. Throughout November, streetlight banners along Huntington Drive and Baldwin Avenue will display the names of living military personnel with ties to Arcadia, according to the city.
The banners recognize hometown residents who have served in the United States Armed Forces. This year, 78 banners are scheduled to be installed, which began on Wednesday.
Residents can view the 2026 Military Banner Program map online to see where the banners are displayed.
