An unseen gift

   I recently posted a letter about my financial setback. One of the major issues was about a customer who stood up after having one of my chair massages at Whole Foods. He unknowingly pressed down with all his weight and broke the head rest right off of the massage chair.

         There went my income, gone in sixty seconds.

  I then packed up all my crumbled baggage and came home wondering how I was going to work without any equipment. After a day had past the customer who broke the massage chair called me on my cell phone and told me he would like to buy me a new one.

      Today, a week later I went to work proudly touting my newly delivered  chair, so cushiony and comfortable. A whole week had passed since I was able to earn any money as a chair massage therapist and yet somehow everything had worked out just fine.

     The gift of receiving a new massage chair came from someone who didn’t feel obligated or pressured, he made the decision to give one all on his own.  In doing so he empowered his own self with respect and morality.

  And me? I feel blessed in not emotionally reacting on impulse through anger or resentment but instead through understanding  trust and faith in knowing even the most trying of circumstances can lead to a higher awareness that was pre designed to benefit us both.
