Arcadia-Based Nyquist Triple Crown Quest Ends at Preakness
Another Santa Anita-based horse bested in the Kentucky Derby winner 141st Preakness Stakes.

ARCADIA, CA - In a race overshadowed by the death of two horses earlier in the day, Santa Anita-based Exaggerator upset Kentucky Derby winner Nyquist to win the 141st Preakness Stakes on Saturday at the Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Maryland.
It was the first loss for Nyquist, who is also based at Santa Anita, and prevented the 3-year-old colt from making a bid for horse racing's Triple Crown at next month's Belmont Stakes.
Exaggerator finished second to Nyquist at the Kentucky Derby earlier this month.
