Arcadia Unified Remembers 9/11

Arcadia Unified School District paused to reflect on 9/11.

ARCADIA, CA — On Monday, 4,000 students and staff from Arcadia High School will come together for a 9/11 memorial tribute Monday morning. Students and faculty gathered on the somber occasion, filling the bleachers while representatives from the Marine Corps, Army, Arcadia Fire Department, and Arcadia Police Department joined in the tribute.

A bagpiper performed “Amazing Grace,” a history and recognition will be read, and a moment of silence was observed by all present.

"We have held this tribute for the past few years, and it’s very powerful and an emotional history lesson and reminder for our students, many of whom weren’t even born yet," Arcadia Unified School District spokesperson said. "Being such a large high school, it’s one of the the only times each year all students and staff will gather at the same time."
