Coroner IDs Arcadia Woman Shot To Death By Husband
A woman believed fatally shot by her husband in her Sunset Boulevard residence was identified Thursday.

ARCADIA, CA — A double shooting claimed the life of two Arcadia residents, a husband and wife, in the woman's Sunset Boulevard home. On Thursday, authorities identified the woman whom police believe was fatally shot by her husband, who then shot himself, ending his life. The pair were married but living separately, the sheriff's department reported.
Investigators went to the 800 block of Sunset Boulevard before 8:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, which assisted Arcadia police in the investigation.
Cherry Liu, 40, who lived at the residence, died at the scene, the Los Angeles County coroner's office reported.

"Police department officers responded to the location regarding a call of a person down," a sheriff's statement said. "Upon arrival, the officers found a man and a woman in an alleyway behind an apartment, suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds."
Her husband, in his 40s, died at a hospital. His name was withheld, pending notification of next of kin.

"It appears the woman was shot by the man before the man turned the gun on himself," the statement said. "The weapon is in custody and there is no suspect outstanding."
