Authorities Continue Search For Burglary Suspect

Police also accuse suspect of attempted murder.

Arcadia Police are asking for the public's help in locating a attempted robbery and attempted murder suspect who walked into a 7-Eleven and demanding money from a clerk Monday morning.

Police reveal new details in the incident, which occurred at the convenience store at 2 East Duarte Road at 9:20 a.m. The suspect pointed a black handgun at the clerk and demanded cash. The clerk fought back, grabbed the handgun and both struggled for control of the weapon, police said in a statement.

The gun fired into the ceiling of the store. No injuries were reported and the suspect fled south on Santa Anita without any money.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5 feet, 5 inches tall, stocky build, wearing a “skull” type mask, black hoodie, and trousers. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Arcadia Police Department at (626) 574-5150.
