The proper way to store spices and herbs!

Chef Tip of The Day: Storing dry spices and herbs properly can extend their shelf-life and keep them at their peak!  

The best place to store dry spices and herbs is away from heat, humidity and UV rays. For example, storing them right next to the stove or in the cabinet directly above the stove would not be an ideal location. Think of a cabinet that doesn't have access to light, is away from the heat and doesn't have a high humidity point.

  • Low cabinet (heat rises) 
  • Away from your oven, dishwasher, toaster oven, microwave, and any other heated or humid area 
  • In a dark place (keep the cabinet door closed)
