Brush Fire In La Cañada Flintridge Triggers 210 SigAlert

LA CANADA, CA — California Highway Patrol has issued a SIG alert for a brush fire reported on the 210 Freeway on Friday afternoon at approximately 1 p.m. The fire was on the right shoulder at the entrance to the Angeles Forest Highway, according to witnesses. As of 1:45 p.m., witnesses have seen the Los Angeles County Fire Department workers are mopping up the blaze.

Two lanes Westbound 210-Freeway remained closed during the firefighting efforts as of just before 2 p.m.

"Westbound 210 #3 and #4 lanes will be closed until further notice due to a brush fire near the 210 and State Route 2," CHP said. Emergency response is underway. It is not known as of this report what sparked the blaze.
