Carjacking Suspect Sought In Arcadia
Arcadia police are seeking a carjacking suspect who may be armed. Residents are being advised to remain inside with doors and windows locked

ARCADIA, CA — Police were searching for a suspect wanted in a carjacking, Wednesday in the area of Colorado Place, Santa Rosa Road and Colorado Boulevard. The suspect was possibly armed with a gun, according to preliminary reports. The search which began at just after 11 a.m. was still active at 12 p.m.
Police established a perimeter in the 200 block of Santa Rosa Road in search of the possibly armed suspect, an Arcadia Police Department spokesman said. Residents are being advised to remain inside with doors and windows locked.
"During a routine traffic stop by the Motel 6, a suspect fled the vehicle that turned out to be a stolen car, according to the Arcadia Chief of Police Robert Guthrie.

"The suspect foot-bailed from the car, which was taken in carjacking a few days ago," Guthrie told Patch. Officers are on scene, with air support, overhead, seeking the suspect who was described as having a shaved head with tattoos.
Barnhart School. on Colorado Boulevard, was placed on temporary lockdown during the search.
