Fire At Abandoned Home Leads to Discovery of Marijuan Grow House
More than 700 plants were discovered in the home.

A fire at an unoccupied Arcadia home overnight Saturday led to the discovery of 700 growing marijuana plants, police said .
Police were dispatched around midnight to a “fire assist call” at a residence in the 1000 block of South Fourth Avenue, according to Arcadia Police Department Lt. Roy Nakamura.
Arcadia Fire Department personnel found “numerous marijuana plants in different stages of cultivation as well as equipment used for cultivation purposes and contacted the police department,” Nakamura said.

“Detectives collected approximately 700 marijuana plants and no arrests have been made ...” the lieutenant said.
