Murder Victim ID'd As San Gabriel Valley Man

A San Gabriel Valley man was identified in a murder that occurred in San Jose.

ARCADIA, CA — A man who was shot and killed in San Jose on Thursday night has been identified as 31-year-old Xingjian Li of San Gabriel in Los Angeles County, according to the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office.

Li was shot at an apartment in the 300 block of Elan Village Lane around 8:40 p.m. Thursday. San Jose police said they located a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital and was pronounced dead a short time later.

Police said on Thursday the motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting are still under investigation and they haven't named any suspects.
