Possible Shot Fired During Attempted 7-Eleven Robbery

No injuries were reported.

Police are on the hunt for a gunman who attempted to rob a 7-Eleven convenience store Monday morning.

The robbery attempt occurred at 9:15 a.m. at the 7-Eleven on Duarte Road at Santa Anita Avenue. The suspect allegedly fired a single shot at the ceiling when the store's cashier refused to hand over any money, according to scanner reports.

No one was injured in the attempted robbery.

The suspect is described as a black man wearing dark jeans and a black hoodie paired with a ski mask with a skull logo. The suspect reportedly fled the store and headed south on Santa Anita Avenue.

Police searched the area, but could not find the suspect.
