210 Freeway Reopened, Both Directions Following SIG Alert
Traffic was backed up for miles on the 210 freeway on Wednesday due to an investigation of a suspicious item in HOV lane.

ARCADIA, CA — A suspicious item discovered on the 210's HOV lane near the Gold Line metro station halted traffic both directions on Wednesday morning, affecting commuters through Arcadia.
The California Highway Patrol cancelled their hour-long SIG alert that closed both east bound and west bound 210 Freeway lanes at Lake Avenue at just before 11 a.m. All traffic lanes were stopped for about an hour as the Special Enforcement Bureau of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department came on the scene to investigate.

By 10:50 a.m. all lanes were reopened after the robot operated resource discovered the culprit: A jacket, or article of clothing.

The Gold Line metro station, situated between the east bound and west bound freeway, was also closed for the investigation.

The Metro reported that trains skipped the Lake Station during the investigation.
Riders were requested to consider using Pasadena Transit Route 40 to bypass the area. Google Maps showed traffic at a stop, affecting alternative routes for drivers in the area, from I-5, I-10 and the 101.
