The uncle was already being sought for an assault on his wife Thursday night in La Canada Flintridge, Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau Lt. Eddie Hernandez told the San Gabriel Valley Tribune, which reported that the suspect became enraged upon finding out that his wife had filed for divorce and obtained a restraining order against him.

The brothers were 15 and 16, Hernandez told the newspaper.

They appeared to have suffered blunt force trauma, according to a number of reports.
