New Carousel at L.A. Zoo Honors Arcadia Icons (Photos)

The carousel includes a figure honoring a famous filly well known to race fans.

The new Tom Mankiewicz Conservation Carousel at the Los Angeles Zoo & Botanical Gardens features 66 artisan-crafted figures, including one that honors a famous horse familiar to race fans at Santa Anita.

Jerry and Ann Moss, who own Zenyatta—the filly who beat the boys to clinch the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Classic at in 2009—donated a figure honoring the horse.

It's one of several hand-carved and hand-painted figures on the Tom Mankiewicz Conservation Carousel, each a beautiful piece of art. Check it out above!
