Woman Stabbed Multiple Times, Arcadia Man In Custody: LASD

A woman was stabbed multiple times on Thursday, and an Arcadia man is in custody, LA Sheriffs Say.

ARCADIA, CA — A stabbing in Temple City left an 18-year-old woman injured and an Arcadia man in custody Friday, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.

"Deputies found the young woman suffering from numerous stab wounds, and she was hospitalized in stable condition," the sheriff's department.

A 23-year-old Arcadia man, Matthew Echauri, was arrested at approximately 10 p.m. Thursday and was booked on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with the attack, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, reported.

"The attempted stabbing occurred earlier that day in the 6200 block of Encinita Avenue," they stated.

Echauri was held on $2 million bail, and was scheduled to appear in court in Alhambra on Monday.
