With passenger numbers hitting new records and new LAX service in place, county officials want to prioritize improvements and stay ahead of demand, while travelers are already asking for more dining options.
4. Rep. Josh Harder bill calling for Golden Mussel eradication, control advances in Congress (kget.com) — Bakersfield and Kern County water supplies face a growing threat from invasive Golden Mussels, and a new bill in Congress has just cleared a key subcommittee to boost eradication and control efforts. The proposal would fund rapid-response monitoring, new inspection technology, and better coordination among agencies to protect local water infrastructure that agriculture and residents rely on.
