605 Traffic Snarled From Big Rig Injury Crash On San Gabriel River Freeway
At least four people were injured in the San Gabriel River 605 Freeway crash, Los Angeles County Firefighters said.

BALDWIN PARK, CA — The San Gabriel Valley's 605 through-way was a mess Tuesday, following a multi-vehicle crash that injured four and closed a lane in full SIGALERT, according to CHP.
The crash was reported near Rose Hills Road about 10:15 a.m.
Jack-knifed big rigs blocked some lanes, the California Highway Patrol dispatch said.

As of 12:15 p.m. drivers through that area were still experiencing at least a 30 minute delay in drive time, according to Waze.com. The collision, in the area between Rose Hills Road and Beverly Boulevard was backed up to Ramona Bourlevard. The 605 northbound was slow from Slauson to Beverly, according to SIGALERT.com.

The Rose Hills on-ramp was closed, and the 60 westbound was slow from Azusa onto the 605 south, with stop and go traffic over two hours after the crash.

California Highway Patrol stated that the collision involved two big rigs heading southbound on the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway. It left four people injured and caused major traffic woes for motorists, with a hazardous materials spill, they said.
Four people were transported for hospital treatment of injuries of unknown severity, according to the Los Angeles county fire department.

A hazardous-materials team was sent to the scene as a precaution, the CHP reported. The cleanup following the collision and subsequent investigation kept traffic on the 605 at a crawl the majority of Tuesday.
