BALDWIN PARK, CA — A boy was shot to death Saturday morning in Baldwin Park, authorities said.

The shooting occurred at about 5:10 a.m. Saturday in the 12900 block of Bess Avenue, near Interstate 10 and the San Gabriel (605) River Freeway, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department reported.

The victim, described as a "male juvenile," was pronounced dead at the scene, sheriff's officials said. His exact age was unclear.

No motive or suspect information was immediately available.
