BALDWIN PARK, CA — Baldwin Park's annual Día de los Muertos celebration has been moved indoors this year at the Arts and Recreation Center, the city announced on Thursday.
The event featuring cultural performances, live music, free arts and crafts, and a Catrín and Catrina costume contest is scheduled for 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, at the Arts and Recreation Center
The city announced the venue change but did not provide additional details. The event was originally going to take place at Susan Rubio Zocalo Park.
The celebration will honor Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, a Mexican tradition that commemorates deceased loved ones through offerings, art, music and cultural gatherings.
Activities will include hands-on arts and crafts, cultural performances and live musical entertainment.
