BALDWIN PARK, CA — Overnight lane and ramp closures are planned along the 605 Freeway between Santa Fe Springs and Baldwin Park starting Monday as Caltrans conducts paving and roadway improvement work, the city announced on Monday.
Up to two lanes in each direction of the freeway between the 10 Freeway and Telegraph Road may be closed nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Friday, according to a city advisory.
Ramp and connector closures may begin as early as 7 p.m. and continue until as late as 6 a.m. Closures will occur in sequence as work progresses, with no two consecutive ramps closed at the same time.
Motorists were encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time and consider the 710 or 5 freeways as alternate routes.
The city said closures are subject to change and urged drivers to follow posted signs, use caution in construction zones and drive safely during the work.
