BALDWIN PARK, CA — Baldwin Park will kick off its holiday festivities with a tree lighting ceremony Dec. 3 at 6 p.m., ahead of the city's Winterfest celebration later that week, the city announced.
The event will begin with free train rides in Morgan Park, followed by the lighting of the city's 18-foot Christmas tree by the mayor at the Esther Snyder Community Center, the city said.
After the ceremony, attendees can enjoy free refreshments and posole. Santa Claus also is scheduled to make a guest appearance and will be available for free photos with visitors.
The tree lighting ceremony will take place two days before Winterfest, which is scheduled for Dec. 5 at Morgan Park.
