The pitch is the field of choice as the Baldwin Park School District will be heavily represented, as both the boys and girls’ soccer teams from Baldwin Park and Sierra Vista High Schools has punched its tickets to the post season.
The Sierra Vista Girls, the Sierra vista boys and the Baldwin Park boys soccer teams all entered as league champions and drew wildcard opponents, who will play on Tuesday for the boys and Wednesday for the girls. The Baldwin Park girls’ soccer team finished second but drew a home wildcard game on Wednesday afternoon.
The Sierra Vista girls’ soccer team completed its fourth consecutive undefeated league campaign as the Dons head into familiar waters, going in as the league champions for the seventh year in a row. The Dons ran away with the league crown winning by an average of six goals a game, winning by scores of 8-0, 9-0 and on one occasion 10-0.

The Baldwin Park High School Girls soccer team finished second in the Valle Vista League at 7-3-3 and entered as a wildcard in Division 6 and will host Yucca Valley on Tuesday afternoon. Should they advance they have the unenviable task of facing the second-seeded Dons Friday afternoon. Both matches start at 3pm.
The Sierra Vista boys’ soccer team finished the season undefeated at 20-0-2 and 13-0-1 in Montview League Play. They will play the winner of the Culver City/Saugus division 4 Wildcard game Thursday afternoon.

The Baldwin Park boys’ soccer team won the Valle Vista League with an 11-1 record and 16-4-2 overall. They will play the winner of the Los Amigo/Arroyo Grande Division 5 wildcard game Thursday afternoon.
