Donnelly Responds to Granting Undocumented Immigrants Drivers Licenses
Assemblyman Tim Donnelly calls the new initiative "a magnet" that allows undocumented immigrants to stay in the country.
Assemblyman Tim Donnelly is denouncing a plan to grant undocumented immigrants drivers licenses in California, while the initiative is getting , including LA County Sheriff Lee Baca and Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.
Supporters say the initiative would reduce the number of drivers on the road driving without car insurance or registration.
Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck told CBS2, that having a “defacto class” of illegal drivers only “ensures that they don’t get insured” or have their cars registered.
