Baldwin Park Man Sentenced To Jail for Robbery, Cleared of Other Charges
21-year-old Armando Martínez had been accused of various crimes including sexual assault and kidnapping.

A Baldwin Park resident who was facing charges of kidnapping, sexual assault, and other crimes, was sentenced to jail for one year this Wednesday just for charges of second-degree robbery, informed the Los Angeles County District Attorney.
According to Jane Robinson, spokesperson for this department, 21-year-old Armando Martínez was found not guilty of five other charges at a court in Pomona.

Martínez initially had been accused of kidnapping, sexual assault, witness intimidation and assault with intent to commit a major crime.
According to information from the San Gabriel Valley Tribune, the defendant forced a woman into a car at gunpoint, then exposed and touched himself. Martinez also stole the victim's cell phone.

However, the jury absolved Martinez from the rest of the charges and he was only found guilty of second-degree robbery, said Robinson.
