Side-Way Slide: Learn to Read From Left to Right

Now that we're all back to school, let's have some fun doing the language arts standards.  Try this fun way to use your imagination and train the brain to move left to right and top to bottom...useful skills for eventual reading and writing.

Line up your kids in the upper left corner of the room. Put on your  imaginary glasses, open your book, and when the music begins each row moves to the right until reaching the end of the room, as your eyes would when reaching the end of a page.  Then jump back, and move double time to the left (as your eyes would when not reading), until you are back to the left side of the room.  Repeat this activity until the end of the music. By that time you should be at the end of one page! How was your story?
