"Now more than ever, encouraging infants and young children to practice skills like self-regulation, social engagement, problem-solving and play is critical. During these uncertain times, families and children are experiencing unprecedented stress and challenges.
Especially our families of children with special needs. Families need opportunities to recover from adversity, heal from trauma and get stronger again. They need safe places and, at times, guidance to grow. Working to strengthen families gives us hope in a stronger community and a brighter future.
This presentation will focus on understanding the complex needs of all family members and the impact of quarantine on parent stress, children with special needs, and navigating the early start to school district transition process. We will also explore strategies to support stress management, sensory, educational andsocial-emotional needs in families."
