Brush Fire Burns In Baldwin Park

A brush fire was reported flaring up in the area of Baldwin Park, authorities said.

BALDWIN PARK, CA — A brush fire was reported as burning in a riverbed near the 200 block of Cloverleaf Drive in the Baldwin Park area. Firefighters and emergency personnel responded to the scene just after 12:30 p.m. Monday.

The fire scorched about five acres of brush, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Crews were continuing to battle the flames early Monday afternoon, they said.

No structures were threatened and no injuries were reported. It was not known as of this report how the blaze began.
