Deputies Arrested 3 After Car Chase in Baldwin Park
During the pursuit, rounds were fired at deputies through the front windshield of the car.
Three people w were in custody today following their arrests in Baldwin Park, authorities said.
The car was spotted around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday by a member of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Narcotics Strike Team, who determined it was reported stolen, said Sgt. Peter Gomez of the sheriff's Headquarters
Bureau.

The vehicle was followed until a marked patrol car from the sheriff's Industry Station arrived, at which time the chase began, he said.
During the pursuit, rounds were fired at deputies through the front windshield of the car, according to Gomez, who said deputies did not return fire.

Why the shots were fired from the front of the 1993 Honda sedan was not immediately clear, said Sgt. Gregory Gutierrez of the Industry Station.
Near the end of the chase, a woman jumped from the moving car and was taken into custody, Gomez said. The vehicle then crashed, and two men fled into a residential neighborhood in the 13600 block of Monterey Avenue, he said, adding a perimeter was set up, and both were arrested.
No deputies were injured, Gomez said. A handgun was recovered at the scene, Gutierrez said.
All three suspects were arrested on suspicion of assault on a peace officer with a firearm and driving a stolen vehicle, Gomez said.
