“A decade ago we began our annual e-waste and collection drive as a way to assist the communities we serve and contribute to efforts aimed at preventing harmful elements from getting into local landfills,” explains David Wei, Manager, Environmental Health & Safety, Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park Medical Center. “These activities in honor of Earth Day are part of Kaiser Permanente’s multifaceted approach to environmental stewardship, which includes expanding our use of solar energy to reduce our use of fossil fuels and to create healthier environments.”
