Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park & Goodwill Southern California team up to help the environment and those less fortunate
Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park is teaming up with Goodwill Southern California in honor of Earth Day by hosting an on-site collection of e-waste and other donations, on Wed., April 20, 7 a.m. – 2 p.m., Physical Therapy Patient Drop-Off Area, 1011 Baldwin Park Blvd., Baldwin Park, CA 91706.
“A decade ago we began our annual e-waste and collection drive as a way to assist the communities we serve and contribute to efforts aimed at preventing harmful elements from getting into local landfills,” said David Wei, Manager, Environmental Health & Safety, Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park Medical Center. “These activities in honor of Earth Day are part of Kaiser Permanente’s multifaceted approach to environmental stewardship, which includes expanding our use of solar energy to reduce our use of fossil fuels and to create healthier environments.”
Goodwill Southern California will be taking donations of electronic equipment such as phones, television sets and computers to ensure that they are properly disposed of, as well as gently used and new clothing, accessories, household goods, books, and collectibles. Representatives from Goodwill Southern California will be on site for the e-waste and donation drop-off and will assist with heavy items and provide receipts for tax purposes.
