Industry Extends Funding for Stolen Plastic Task Force
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department program has recovered around $7 million in stolen plastic in the past 18 months.

The City of Industry plans to keep its plastic industrial theft task force intact for a while longer.
The city has extended funding for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's-run program until June 30, according to Plastics News.

"We decided to fund it until the end of our fiscal year," City Manager Kevin Radecki told the publication. "The task force has been doing fine on [managing] its finances."
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is looking for ways to fund the program beyond the end of the fiscal year. The extension is estimated to cost around $270,000, Plastics News reported.
