Kaiser Permanente hosts groundbreaking for Irwindale Medical Offices
Greater convenience for Kaiser Permanente Health Plan Members in the San Gabriel Valley
On Thursday, August 17, more than 125 representatives from local businesses, elected officials including Congresswoman Grace Napolitano and Mayor Mark Breceda, City of Irwindale, and Kaiser Permanente, attended a groundbreaking ceremony for its new Irwindale Medical Offices.
Conveniently located off the 10 and 605 freeways, the 89,455 square-foot building will house specialty care services including Podiatry, Gastroenterology, Ophthalmology, and an Ambulatory Surgery Unit. Additional services will include Laboratory, Radiology, a Gastroenterology Procedure Lab, and Pharmacy. The facility will incorporate some of Kaiser Permanente’s Reimagining Ambulatory Design (RAD) concepts. The facility is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2019.
“We expect over 111,000 patient visits in the first year of operation,” says Maggie Pierce, Sr. Vice President and Area Manager, Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park Medical Center. “By 2024, that volume is expected to grow to more than 127,000 visits.”
