Local students receive backpacks and school supplies
Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park employees and physicians donate backpacks/school supplies to help local students

Thanks to the efforts of employees and physicians from Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park, the recent Backpack and School Supply Donation Campaign was a big success! More than 950 backpacks were collected to help students in need from the Baldwin Park Unified School District and West Covina Unified School District. Special thanks to Dr. John Nguyen, Emergency Department, and his family who donated 105 backpacks.
“We truly value the Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park backpack donation community partnership made possible by staff. The gratitude expressed by our students and parents for the donations was simply amazing and a testament to our enduring partnership,” says Dr. Paul Sevillano, Superintendent, Baldwin Park Unified School District.
“We were excited to team up once again with Baldwin Park Unified School District to help students get a fresh start to the school year,” adds Maggie Pierce, Executive Director, Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park Medical Center. “These are challenging economic times for everyone. Thanks to the backpack and school supply donations from staff, children received the tools they need to do their best in school.”
