NAIOP’s Annual Golf Tournament Supports Warrior Foundation

On May 1, nearly 150 regional real estate professionals will join NAIOP Inland Empire for its 20th annual golf tournament that will support the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, a national nonprofit that provides scholarships and educational counseling to surviving children of fallen special operations personnel. Each year the event raises $10,000 for the foundation, which will make the chapter’s total contribution since 2012 nearly $30,000 after this year.

The full-day event features a round of golf, BBQ lunch, putting/driving contests and a networking and awards reception to follow the tournament. Hosting 36 teams of four,

the golf tournament has become a long-standing event that allows the business community to raise funds for a worthy cause, while giving them the opportunity to network and have some fun. Sponsors still needed.

About Special Operations Warrior Foundation

Founded in 1980, the Special Operations Warrior Foundation has helped more than 218 children of fallen special operations soldiers complete their college education. There are currently 140 students enrolled in colleges and universities across the U.S. with foundation funding. The foundation also offers immediate financial assistance to families of special operations personnel who are severely wounded by providing grants to cover traveling costs so they can be with their wounded loved ones.
