A star has risen from El Monte National Little League (EMNLL), Isaiah Ariza-Garcia #2 for the EMNLL Minor Pirates is a proven phenom. This young man’s talent for baseball extends to all positions on the team. Ariza excels as a pitcher with his rifle-like arm, his quick reflexes as catcher who can effortlessly tag out the incoming opposing team from home plate. His dexterity to play outfield as well as infield makes him a solid asset to the EMNLL Minor Pirates.

Ariza is in Travel ball and plays with the San Gabriel Valley Hustle as #1 and on Memorial day weekend 2016 Ariza made a memorable grand slam. A play that will not soon be forgotten. When not playing baseball Ariza plays soccer, basketball and football. His Uncle, Cruz Saucedo is very involved in his sports and supports him all the way. Uncle Cruz is quoted saying “I am very proud of Isaiah because no matter what sport he plays, he always stands out and most of all he tries to be friendly with all the players.” His Grandparents, Estela and Tony Garcia are a great source of moral support. They are there for all his events, games, and sport tournaments. Grandpa Tony states “Isaiah is my hero, my all sports MVP, watching him play takes away all my stress.” Tony’s devotion to the sport resonates with his grandson Isaiah. Grandma Estela says “Isaiah is the light of my life. I am very proud of my baby because when he plays any sport, he plays with pride.”

Ariza is quoted “I never give up, the harder the other team is the harder I play…Not all the players play with the same dedication, they can get where they really want to be.”

He is not only making his name known in baseball, but also basketball, football, and soccer. However, baseball is where he has been a standout among the rest. Baseball runs through this young man’s veins. If his confidence and his game is any indicator, there’s a good chance we all will be seeing Ariza in the Major League Baseball teams.

Team Mom Marivel Guerra-Peters for the EMNLL Minor Pirates shares that “Isaiah has been a great addition to the Minor Pirates and that you can see that baseball is a sport that is in his blood and is instinctive to him, second nature.” Ariza is a force of nature to be dealt with and no matter if he stays with baseball or any sport he will succeed.
