Sheriff's On Route to Baldwin Park to Investigate Shooting Death

A News bulletin from Los Angeles County Sheriff's Officials, issued just before 11 p.m. tonight:

Sheriff's Homicide Detectives are en route to the 4700 block of Merced Avenue, Baldwin Park, to assist Baldwin Park Police Department personnel investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man.

The incident was reported at 8:38 p.m. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Sheriff's was also helping to investigate a homicide in Baldwin Park from July 19. The shooting happened around 12:15 a.m. at the intersection of Los Angeles Street and Merced Avenue, Sheriff's officials said. The died at the scene, officials said.
